Are you a Software Architect with OCI expertise who is interested in building a large scale, globally distributed, multi-tenant SaaS platform on top of OCI and Platform services? If so - read on!Oracle’s HGBU Hotel Distribution Platform team is building from the ground up a platform for managing global supply and demand for hotel rooms. The platform will operate at a large scale in a globally distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Our customers will use it to manage their hotel room inventory and pricing as well as availability requests and bookings on all distribution channels. Our mission is to provide the industry with a platform that can scale and have near-zero downtime.

As a Principal Cloud SaaS Architect, you’ll architect and develop design patterns for the use of the OCI and PaaS. You will be responsible for the performance, reliability, and operational efficiency of our SaaS.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop design patterns for a highly scalable, performance-optimized, and highly available environment for micro-services based SaaS on top of the OCI, and Oracle Platform Services.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks and tools to ensure high speed&low cost provisioning, maximum uptime and predictability while preventing outages and service interruptions or degradations.
• Develop and manage operational processes and metrics that ensure maximum reliability and uptime for our customers.
• Analyze service level degradations and develop rapid response solutions to ensure such degradations do not reoccur.
• Lead and mentor team members.
• Partner with PaaS development teams as well as HGBU Engineering for continuous improvement of our SaaS.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience as an architect of Cloud-based environments for applications including expertise in building large and distributed systems that support business-critical cloud services.
• OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) expertise.
• Kubernetes and related technologies experience.
• Experience in creating effective cloud infrastructure solutions that ensure a high level of performance.
• Experience managing complex deployments including continuous. deployments of various micro services.
• Successful track record of building and maintaining infrastructure including required monitoring, testing, and tooling.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

  Detailed Description and Job Requirements

   

   

  Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
  
  As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
  
  Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
