How you’ll make an impact: We are seeking a talented, driven Principal Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with a distributed high-performing engineering team, contributing to the development and maintenance of backend microservices and scalable real-time datastores. Your expertise will be instrumental in advancing our core objectives, which include enhancing feature sets for vital monetization segments and delving deep into audio content analysis, all within a cloud services framework What you’ll do: Work with one or more of the following programming languages on a daily basis including Java, Python, Go, C++ Develop using Cloud technologies like AWS, Serverless, and Cloud Compute Extensive experience with distributed databases such as Aerospike, BigTable or similar Interact with and leverage DevOps technologies that promote Infrastructure as a Code and one-click deploy to production pipelines Collaborate and experiment in order to make sound technical decisions that balance out business and sustainability needs Collaborate with the Product team to clarify the scope and timelines of the projects Work with a team of engineers building software in a collaborative development process Build high-performance, stable, scalable systems to be deployed in an enterprise setting Lead high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions Provide mentoring and advice for other engineers What you’ll need: Strong problem solving skills related to building software, automation, and Cloud infrastructure Proven strong understanding of at least one mainstream programming language Ability for sustained learning on the job Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience, in lieu of degree. Strong understanding of engineering software processes, lifecycle methodology, configuration management, release management, and system verification and testing. Has successfully built resilient multi-region microservices at scale by leveraging AWS Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
