MAST is a monolith software system to facilitate the execution of class and statutory survey and certification. We are embarking on a program of work to modernise the system, initially focusing on the execution, certification and fee information components in a number of discrete workstreams.

Fixed-term contract for 12 months The role
Collaborate with the Project Team to define and refine epics, features and user stories
Use or collect user feedback and translate into a action plans and user stories to promote enhancements.
Engage with business SMEs and to support Business Analysts and Product Analysts with industry knowledge and expertise
Provide ideas and suggestions to enhance the vision for the project
Form part of the In-Service Product Management Team and contribute to other similar areas in maritime compliance as required
Provide timely and appropriate guidance to clients and stakeholders with product changes.
Ensure documentation/data/information and tasks are planned, evaluated and processed in accordance with local business requirements and agreed deadlines.
Discuss/present ideas and topics in a specific technical area with a technical audience/client and be able to suggest solutions to satisfy technical standards, with support from SMEs as required.
To participate & present workshops (internal/ external) for the support of the Project, and the related teams. Participate and collaborate in the preparation of material, and share ideas for successful delivery. What you bring
A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd's Register within a relevant field or qualifications suitable for the role with a product management focus.
Ability to communicate effectively at different levels within organisations and to influence successfully and openly at all levels – both inside our organisation and outside in the business. Ability and understanding to participate, communicate, positively contribute and add value in marine technical discussions with clients and LR colleagues alike.
Ability to understand and assess complex and sometimes unfamiliar situations, visualise solutions and see through to resolution.
Enjoyment of building relationships, with the ability to pro-actively drive development of a network of key relationships internally and externally.
Commercial awareness. Ability to develop strategic action plans based on input from key persons.
Strong team spirit. Demonstrate professional people skills and promote a team working environment across the area of business.
Thorough understanding and proven experience of the maritime industry, maritime compliance regimes, product management and software development
Demonstrate motivational skills in directing colleagues to achieve business objectives.
