POSITION PURPOSE
The Production Maintenance Manager will lead and organize all maintenance and technical assistance activities for production equipment, ensuring operational reliability, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards. This role is responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies, coordinating technical interventions, and driving continuous improvement and modernization initiatives. By effectively managing spare parts, resources, and a dedicated technical team, the Production Maintenance Manager secures the optimal performance of production assets, supports regulatory compliance, and contributes to the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of the manufacturing operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Draws up annual maintenance plans for all production equipment.Organizes the maintenance activities and ensures that the production equipment operates within the prescribed limits.Takes the necessary measures to remedy the identified operational deficiencies, in collaboration with the other responsible departments and services.Makes proposals regarding the modernization of production equipment.Ensures the minimum necessary stock of spare parts and consumables in collaboration with the other responsible departments.Develops the execution documentation for possible spare parts that can be produced locally, modernizations, and self-utilization.Manages technical information, compressed drawings, punch and mold drawings, packaging formats, and product feasibility.Ensures the necessary punches, molds, and format pieces in collaboration with the other responsible department.Proposes and submits for approval ways to remedy the non-conformities reported following inspections, then monitors their implementation.If requested, is part of the deviation investigation team, acting accordingly. Participates in equipment investment activities.Checks and monitors the effective application and fulfilment of the requirements set forth in the Quality Management System documentation for the Technical Production Service.Develops or modifies standard operating procedures that are related to the field of activity in which it has competence.Prospects the market for the selection of new suppliers of assemblies and spare parts, both external and internal.Participates in the analysis and implementation of the change control program for changes made to production equipment.Participates in symposiums, forums, and presentations organized by national and international companies competent in the field, if the management of the company considers it necessary and appropriate.Assumes responsibility for the actions undertaken at the workplace and fulfils responsibilities within the established terms.Elaborates specific training topics, based on knowledge of staff training needs.Carries out specific training of existing staff, newly hired staff, or transferred staff within the Technical Production Service and verifies the knowledge acquired by them as a result of the training.Trains the subordinate staff regarding the maintenance and intervention on the production equipment.Organizes and controls the activity of the staff in the Technical Production Service, assigns tasks to the subordinate team, and sets and evaluates objectives for direct reports.QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS
Degree in Mechanical or Automation Engineering (mandatory).Minimum 3 years of experience in leading technical or maintenance teams, ideally within the pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing industry.Strong understanding of GMP requirements.Excellent organizational and planning skills, capable of managing shifts, resources, and priorities effectively.Proven leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Advanced English and Romanian.Our Recruitment Process:
