The QA Data Engineer will join a talented team of data engineers in our Eastern European Center (EEC), collaboratively working with the Global Data and Analytics (D&A) team on data products across all process areas. The resource will be an integral part of the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure that our data pipelines meet high standards of data quality, testability, code quality (based on standards & best practices) and performance. To achieve this, the resource is expected to devise, manage, and execute test plans for multiple projects, proactively working with our data engineers, D&A team members and business partners to facilitate an efficient testing process. As an excellent manager and communicator, the resource will be able to identify patterns in the testing execution and work with team members to proactively address any shortcomings in the development cycle. Responsibilities: Develop a test plan and assess effort and cost in project planning phase Writing automation scripts using Python Identifying quality issues and creating test reports Provide status updates on testing for projects in development Identify areas of improvements in the testing process including opportunities to automate or additional validation checks in the development phase to reduce test failures Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites Collaborate with projects to manage traceability of requirements/user stories to test scripts/artifacts Qualifications Mandatory: Working experience in data-related testing in Big data with familiarity with Data Lake concepts Experience in back-end data testing (around databases, SQL) Experience in test automation, particularly in the context of DevOps Experience in a test management tools such as Jira Experience in requirement analysis, coordinating with developers, architects, Product owners, Scrum Master and other stakeholders in AGILE environment Be very structured and organized to properly manage different status follow-ups and stakeholder expectations Nice to have: Understanding of the Azure Platform as a Service ecosystem including components such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL DB Ability to interpret, execute and contribute to test strategy and test plans for a project or capability Experience working with the Software Development Life Cycle for analytical projects and their specific testing needs Experience with Bitbucket and Azure Repos highly desired Job: Information Technology Primary Location: RO-B-Bucharest Job Type: Standard Schedule: Full-time Shift: 1st (Day) Shift Job Number: 2225613
