The Safety Engineer supports the organization:
- Influencing a strong safety culture that makes us different;
- Implementing the best practices (instructions, procedures, experiences) in the field of occupational safety and health;
- Monitoring the application and observance of occupational safety and health rules;
- Preparing, training, sensitizing, motivating in the field of safety and health all those integrated in the work system, for the development of the preventive spirit and the change of attitude towards the risks at work;
- Improving policies/instructions/procedures for a safer work environment.
This Is What You Would Be Doing At CRH Romania
- Ensures communication and actively participates in the implementation, compliance with CRH Group programs in the field of health and safety at work;
- Keeps records and reports of events and indicators on health and safety;
- Participates, as a support, in the identification of hazards and risk assessment, in establishing areas that require occupational safety and health signs, in organizing all high-risk activities that will take place in the workplace;
- Collaborates with designated workers / internal services / external services of other employers;
- Participates and monitors internal/ external safety and health audits of the plant and monitors the implementation of corrective measures;
- Organizes and supports health and safety training and information for company employees and contractors;
- Participates in the plant events investigation and provides support for the preparation of mandatory documents;
- Identifies and ensures the logistics of purchasing the personal protective equipment necessary for the workstations according to the local legal provisions and in accordance with the CRH standards.
This Is What You Will Bring To CRH Romania
- Strong expertise and experience in Safety Situation;
- Deep understanding of legal safety guidelines;
- Knowlede of engineering and industrial experience;
- Certified Safety Professional training (80h);
- Certified „Technical specialist with responsibilities in the field of Emergency” training (164h) could be a plus;
- Certified postgraduate „risk assessment” training (180 h) could be a plus;
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment;
- Extensive attention to detail to distinguish safety hazards;
- Program design and facilitation;
- Change Management and Risk Assessment Management
- Managing Programs/Project Management qualifications is a plus;
- Excellent communication skills;
- (English proficiency is compulsory, others would be a plus);
- Problem-solving approach and results oriented;
- Excellent follow through;
- Integrity, intransigence, honesty.
