HARD FACTS Project: End-customer project (no recruitment agency involved) Start: asap Duration: 12+ months  Location: Remote, occasionally traveling to Augsburg (Germany) required Contract: Freelance (B2B) COMPANY AVAG Holding SE is one of the largest automobile trading groups in Europe. ABOUT THE PROJECT: Enterprise transformation project: Replacement of legacy systems for handling internal business processes by a new enterprise architecture solution which will be developed from scratch. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the design efforts with a primary focus on UX, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Incorporate UI design elements to enhance the overall look and feel of the enterprise application. Address the unique challenge of transitioning thousands of users accustomed to a legacy software to the new system. Design for functionality, keeping in mind the specific needs of enterprise application users. Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and other team members to align design decisions with project goals. Develop UI mockups and prototypes: Using wireframe and design software like Wireframe.cc, InVision, Figma, and Adobe Illustrator, you will craft interactive prototypes and mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and functionalities. Design graphic user interface: You will be responsible for creating visually engaging and user-friendly graphic user interfaces that align with our brand and product identity. REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of experience as UX/UI Designer. Experience in B2B enterprise application design. Domain knowledge in the car dealership industry would be a big plus. Expertise in UX design with a strong understanding of UI principles. Previous experience working on projects involving legacy system replacement is highly desirable. Knowledge and experience of wireframe and design software: Proficiency in tools such as Wireframe.cc, InVision, Figma or Adobe Illustrator is required to effectively create and communicate design concepts. Proficient in designing for various platforms, including desktop, smartphone, and tablet (responsive design). Familiarity with Front-End technologies and a basic understanding of JavaScript is beneficial. Fluent in English. German would be a benefit.   Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive attitude. Experience in working with virtual, distributed teams. Ability to work and think independently and autonomously. Ability to analyze problems, develop solution options and make decisions. Willingness to occasionally travel to Augsburg (Germany) for face-to-face meetings/ workshops. WHAT WE OFFER Interesting end-customer project (developing an enterprise solution from scratch).
