We are looking for a strategic and analytical Senior Accountant to join our leadership team and oversee our financial health and long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accounts, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. You will be the contact person for our external tax company responsible and provide the relevant information’s to ensure the company’s taxes compliance in close cooperation with our Share Services experts. Also, you will be the contact person for local fiscal authorities, local management team and company auditors with regards of financial matters (e.g. reports, declarations) with support of the Share Services experts and external consultants if needed.
Your responsibilities:
1. Contact person for our external tax company in Romania:
- Annual Financial Statements - data supply, check, confirm
- Half-year Financial Statements - preparation, check, submission
- Answer to Tax Authorities inquiries regarding the VAT returns
- Statements preparation, rectifying, submit checks and info to our external tax company
- Sustainability Report
2. Close cooperation with Accounting Share Services experts:
- Trial balance - closing checks
- Right invoicing financial services -evidence and accruals
- VAT support for local files compilation/ archiving
- State budget and Ro authorities’ payments ordering
- Cash flow
3. Contact person for local fiscal authorities and auditors:
- Financial audit – coordinating the audit process
- Prepare, check and submit local tax statements
- INS Financial Statements yearly overview
4. Represent the local management team with regard of financial matters (e.g. reports, declarations)
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Tech Savvy: Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Soft Skills: A strategic mindset with the ability to "translate" complex numbers into simple business terms for non-financial stakeholders.
- Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
