Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Finance Manager, processing Romanian accounting transactions on the GL side
- Covers the GL postings (prepayments, accruals, payroll, reclassifications, trail balance and P&L related postings)
- Covers the reconciliation between Primary and Secondary
- Reviews the P&L variances and provides feedback
- Calculates payroll accrual and compares it with the actual
- Calculates the Intercompany transactions according to the transfer price file
- Maintains relationships with our external auditors
- Responsible for monitoring and updating financial controls and SOX compliance in RO
- Prepares procedures for the Romania specific activities
- Works closely with the BU managers supporting them with ad-hoc requests
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 years of previous experience as an Accountant in a multinational company
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance with strong knowledge in Romanian accounting
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the business in English
- Previous experience with Oracle or similar ERP is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Romanian and European accounting legislation
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
