Position Description:
CGI is looking for a Senior Business Analyst . The future colleague will ensure that business needs are translated into structured functional designs that can be implemented efficiently within existing systems and architectures.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Lead country discovery activities to understand local checkout processes, fiscal requirements, payment methods, and operational constraints.
• Promote the adoption of the standard project solution, challenging deviations where existing capabilities can be used.
• Identify and document functional gaps between country needs and the standard solution.
• Cluster and categorize gaps (e.g., legal, operational) to support prioritization and solution design.
• Structure and document country requirements, constraints, and business processes to support solution design and decision making.
• Act as the bridge between discovery squads/country stakeholders and engineering squads, explaining the problem domain, business context, business processes, and expected business value to support informed technical solution design and rollout decisions.
• Support prioritization discussions by providing context on country requirements, regulatory constraints, and rollout dependencies.
• Support root cause analysis for country-specific issues and rollout problems, helping identify sustainable solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, and functional flows.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Strong experience in business analysis for complex software systems.
• Strong ability to analyze business processes and operational workflows.
• Experience conducting discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Ability to structure and document business processes, constraints, and requirements clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to use data, KPIs, and operational insights to support prioritization and rollout decisions.
• Strong communication skills to explain business concepts and problem domains to technical teams.
• Experience working with engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Understanding of retail or checkout systems.
• Understanding of fiscal or regulatory requirements for POS systems.
• Very good English communication skills (written and verbal).
Nice to Have:
• Understanding of country-specific fiscalization requirements and related technical constraints.
• Understanding of payment systems and EFT integrations.
