Senior Buyer About the Role Location Romania Bucuresti Bucharest Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Project Entity Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A snapshot of your dayAs a Senior Buyer you will be in charge for sourcing of mechanical and electrical components/systems on large scale international projects for conventional powerplants as well as new business fields related to hydrogen and renewable power generation.How You’ll Make an Impact• Define and implement procurement strategies (which are not covered by commodity strategies) based on conducted demand, market and supplier analysis to ensure longterm,cost-efficient and reliable on-time supply of materials in the required quality.• Set up RfQ process, including supplier onboarding, qualification of suppliers.• Development of a contract award strategy under consideration of the project goals,cost and quality, successful presentation of Total Cost Comparison in a sourcing board and implementation thereof.• Prepare and Perform contract negotiations with application of the available procurement levers (eANC, BATNA, etc.) to achieve best in class results• Collaboration and support for cost calculation “Buy-Portion” and evaluation of possibleprocurement risks and opportunities ( material price, sourcing restrictions, special localrequirements).• Support development and maintenance of a global supplier network.• Evaluation and development of Suppliers for the local and global solution business• Close cooperation and exchange with internal and external stakeholders• Strong support and development of cost out measures in collaboration with engineering and project management• Support on claim management task during execution phaseWhat You Bring• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in related procurement functions, complex contract management,project procurement, proposal and/or project management within oil & gas or power generation industry;• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, along with ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders on different mangement levels;• Proven senior negotiator with a track record of delivering a positive impact on profit as well as excellent knowledge of contractual law and technical product know how of Power plants;• Strategic mindset with the ability to influence, challenge the status quo and effect change;• Ability to drive performance improvement across the supply chain;• Self-motivated, proactive, collaborative and results focused;• Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills• Advanced MS Office applications skills (particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SAP ARIBA;• Passion to learn new things and to drive digitalisation in supply chain;• Willingness to travel when required;Your opportunities for personal growth• The opportunity to engage in an exciting environment on challenging projects• Strong professional support and working with colleagues around the world• Professional development opportunities within the company• To be part of a growing function with a dynamic, informal and inspiring working environment in a position that entails a large responsibilityAbout the Team "Let’s make tomorrow different today" is our genuine commitment at Siemens Energy to all customers and employees on the way to a sustainable future.
