SQL (advanced) Programming (advanced) ELT (advanced) ETL (advanced) Big Data (advanced) Data engineer (master) We are looking for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our growing team of data experts. The position is a fully remote in Poland. This person is responsible for expanding and optimizing our Data Lake and Data Warehouse architecture and optimizing for cost and performance. The ideal candidate is an experienced data wrangler with extensive data platforms experience who enjoys optimizing and building them from the ground up.The Senior Cloud Data Engineer will work alongside our Data Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, Database Administrators and Software Engineers on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. The Senior Cloud Data Engineers must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of designing & optimizing our company’s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.Responsibilities:Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using AWS data technologies.Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.Qualifications:Experience with Big Data pipeline tools, for example: Spark, Hadoop, etc.Experience with one of programming languages: Python or ScalaExperience with relational SQL and NoSQL databasesExperience with Data Pipeline Workflow Management Tools, for example: Airflow, AWS StepFunctions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, etc.Around 4+ of practical experience in Data EngineeringGood to have:Experience with AWS cloud services, in particular: Glue, EMR, DMS, Redshift, Athena, S3Infrastructure and DevOps / DataOps tools and languages: CDK, CloudFormation, GitLab, etc.Experience with dbtExperience with HudiUnderstanding of dimensional modeling as well as other data warehousing techniquesExperience with stream-processing systems: Kafka, Flink, Spark-Streaming, etc.What’s in it for me?Competitive offer package including multisport card, health insurance & vouchers.The best medical coverage on the market with free dental care.Annual bonus plan.Remote work from home.One extra day annually to use for holiday.Opportunity to contribute to developing and maintaining a live platform product making an impact on people’s lives.
