Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 coders (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that Corporate Bank support are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and also by 'horizontals' such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.
Surveillance & Regulatory: Surveillance and Regulatory Technology is responsible for delivering solutions that protect the bank’s financial and reputational interests from potentially criminal or inappropriate behavior by our clients, employees, vendors. It enables the bank to manage its compliance to regulations and the risk appetite to stay in business in the various legislation. In addition, the function, is responsible for driving improvement across the IT delivery cycle through adoption of best practices, automation tooling and metrics, as well as developing a target state DevOps capability
Data Analyst
As part of our global team you will be responsible for contributing to the technology roadmap for our real time fraud and surveillance analytics data platforms. As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for the end-to-end data analysis of requirements from the various Regulatory and Business initiatives and you will be responsible to keep a good line of communication with relevant stakeholders and understand business need.
The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of the applications, systems and (business) processes that are both in scope for the project and exceed project boundaries
We`ll trust you to:
- Investigate the data provided to the platform for the sources, analysis and profiles the data and aligns with the consuming side to map the information.
- Set requirements for data quality, data lineage, data security, data privacy and data issue guidelines and standards and support the setting up of data management and data governance processes.
- Match the local and global definitions to the requirements of data users, data owners and other stakeholders.
- Bring the data under governance by recording the data definitions in the data dictionary and maintain them as part of metadata management.
- Collaborate with business data owners to understand their data, their data needs and business context.
- Participate as an active scrum team member working alongside our business and operations users, developers, architects and testers.
- Remain close in touch with cross-profession teams and provide support for both the capabilities they manage as BAs.
- Review complex high level requirements and translate them into deliverable User Stories.
- Agree test scenarios and conditions for signoff with stakeholders ideally through devising automated test cases through Behaviour Driven Development (BDD).
- Create or review and manage business requirements (both Functional and Non Functional), change requests, use cases and user stories, display mockups, diagrams, data mapping documents, etc.
- Ensure traceability from business requirements to delivery.
- Deliver all artefacts within deadlines. If it is not possible then raise the risk in a timely manner.
- Support QA in test cases creation and provide review and feedback.
- Contribute to the BA community with own experience and sharing of best practices and standards and mentor junior members.
We`d love you to bring:
- Experience with Data mining and analysis tools
- Strong SQL and XML knowledge
- Good understanding of database applications and frameworks
- Previous experience in analytics (preferably in financial services companies)
- Very good data manipulation and statistical skills
- Analyze the data available in the operational systems according to the business needs, in connection with the architects and the agile business analysts
- Experience in User Story writing
- A team player with good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to tailor communication approach for different stakeholder groups (Developers, Business, Operations Users)
- Prior experience working in an Agile environment
- Willing to learn and navigate through different applications, technologies, and business flows based on analysis and requirement needs
- Desirable to have experience in using Confluence and Jira
