About role We are looking for a Data Engineer with a wealth of experience in optimizing query plans and utilizing Snowflake warehouses. ELT transformations frequently handle and merge sizable datasets, leading to tables with sizes measured in terabytes. As a Data Engineer, your role is pivotal in furnishing, developing, implementing, enhancing, and sustaining the Data platform. Your responsibility extends to disseminating best practices throughout the entire organization. Responsibilities Optimization of the running time of queries on specific tables (e.g., through clustering) Selection of appropriate warehouse sizes for transformation Optimizing workloads in Snowflake, a cloud-based data warehousing platform Crafting ingestion part of ELT pipeline in Python R&D, maintenance, and monitoring of the platform's components Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project functional requirements and objectives from a data processing perspective Contributing to the organization's knowledge database Requirements Fluency in both Python and SQL Experience with Snowflake query performance tuning Knowledge of tool for managing and orchestrating data transformations DBT Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, etc.) Understanding the fundamentals of relational databases, including tables, indexes, and keys Understanding a wider business knowledge Trouble-free using domain knowledge gained from the organization or other authoritative sources Very good command of English (min B2) We offer   Salary: 160-200 PLN net + VAT/h B2B (depending on knowledge and experience) 100% remote work Flexible working hours Possibility to work from the office located in the heart of Warsaw Opportunity to learn and develop with the best Big Data specialists in Poland International projects Possibility of conducting workshops and training.
