Role Overview: We are going through and exciting period of change and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps Engineering Team. You will work as part of our exciting greenfield tech hub covering all facets of technology within Kingfisher. You will be responsible for the delivery of continuous quality software using DevOps practices and principles focused on an Infrastructure delivery model. You will be expected to be actively pairing to share knowledge, make key decisions, whilst enabling the delivery team's progress around all aspects from individual growth, service improvements and future strategies. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities: Day to day technical leadership including supporting and standing in for the Tech LeadWorking with the Scrum Master to perform backlog grooming and planningReviewing automation in technical areas and recommending improvementsKnowledge sharing with the wider teams, Kingfisher IT and beyondImplementation plan and upkeep on IAAS, PAAS & tooling capabilitiesSupporting the Design and delivery on pipelines and paths to productionCreation and ongoing ownership of common standards and practicesWorking with the Tech Lead, Product Owner and scrum masters to create and communicate a cohesive platform vision in accordance with our infrastructure strategyWorking with vendor or Open Source technology as requiredDrive automation in all technical areas Required Skills & Experience Have good collaborative skills - be able to bring the team together and support the Tech Lead and management team to collaborate across all IT, Business and External areas, to enable us to deliver the goal s of our businessA strong background and working knowledge of DevOps practices and key technologies in Infrastructure -as -a- Service and Platform -as -a- ServiceCan communicate clearly and concisely with local stakeholders, but able to stretch themselves to work with Senior Management when requiredSupports the shaping and delivery of a single vision for the teams to be excited by and strive to attainUse strong problem solving skills and clear thought process to help the teams when decisions are needed, and be a sounding board to the Tech LeadA strong technical background knowledge of key build, release and environments, with experience of CI tools such as JenkinsStrong knowledge of Private and Public Cloud Capabilities (OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure)A great understanding and experience of telemetry practices (monitoring, graphing, altering, anomaly detection)Demonstrable experience of working closely with and supporting the security administration process and relevant security domain leads, within a cloud/DevOps context What we offer In return, we offer an inclusive environment, where what you can achieve is limited only by your imagination!
