Main responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Developer (m/f/d) with an interest in cybersecurity and solid expertise in vehicle diagnostics to further develop our D-PDU API (ISO 22900-2).
In this role, you will work on the design, enhancement, and optimization of our communication and diagnostic platforms for automotive control units. You will support the implementation of future cybersecurity requirements in the context of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and contribute to the development of secure and future-proof diagnostic and communication solutions

  • Development and maintenance of low-level software modules for communication interfaces (UDS, KWP2000, DoIP, CAN, etc.) 
  • Analysis, implementation, and securing of diagnostic and communication processes while considering current cybersecurity requirements and regulatory standards (e.g., Cyber Resilience Act) 
  • Collaboration with internal teams and customers for requirements analysis, solution design, and project implementation 
  • Troubleshooting and debugging at communication and protocol level within complex vehicle networks 
  • Support for certification, testing, and validation of implementations 
  • Participation in architectural decisions and code reviews 
  • Creation of design documentation, software architectures, and interface specifications
  • Required skills / Experience

  • More than 5 years of relevant working experience
  • English language (both reading and writing). German would be a plus
  • Several years of experience in embedded software development using C/C++
  • Practical experience with protocol implementations in the automotive domain
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, communication controllers (e.g. CAN, Ethernet PHYs), drivers, and HALs
  • Strong teamworking and communication skills, a structured approach to work, and a high level of personal responsibility
  • Interest in cybersecurity in the automotive and embedded domain, as well as current regulatory requirements (e.g. Cyber Resilience Act)
  • Would be a plus 

  • Experience in embedded cybersecurity, including knowledge of current regulatory requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA)
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS and CMX
  • Communication protocols: CAN (DoCAN), Ethernet (DoIP), ISO 15765, SAE J1939, K-Line, etc.
