Responsibilities
The domain you will join is, more specifically, in charge with the development/maintenance of applications/projects for BDDF and CDN (the French Retail Banking of Société Generale and Credit du Nord). The SGI application, as part of this domain, ensures the production and electronic distribution of BDDF and CDN documentation (contracts, letters, loans and insurances etc.).
You will work on the perimeter ensuring the monitoring of the application, in charge with the functioning of the servers and databases in the different environments of the SGI ecosystem. The application is mission critical for our Clients in France (24/7, high availability,99,8% uptime).
What you will do:
• Provide your expertise in areas such as:
o Redesign application architecture and move from monolith to capabilities, supported by micro-services
o Exercise reverse engineering and refactoring activities
o Experience in tackling different technologies (e.g. current stack: java 4 (compiled on java 8 )on weblogic -> target stack java 8-11 on tomcat, spring boot/wildfly with some extensive reverse engineering and refactoring)
o Propose solutions to reduce technical debt
• Get used with the ITIL procedures application in SG Group
• Provide technical expertise on production incidents when requested
• Improve documentation when needed
• Develop functional know-how with support from Team Leads and BA/PO teams
Profile required
Proven hands-on experience on integrating applications in complex enterprise ecosystems.
• Proven hands-on experience in Java (or other OOP) +8 years, soap/rest web-services, spring, spring boot, relation and non-relational dbs. During this period, you have had the chance to work on projects that allowed you to:
i. Build hands-on experience in Linux/Unix systems (+2 years working on the application side or +1 year working on server side). Expertise in designing and implementing automation for application maintenance is highly valued.;
ii. Worked extensively with the db (query optimization, performance management, configurations, or +2 year as DBA);
iii. Good analytical skills in analyzing a given problem and document options with a recommendation (+2 years exposure to run / application management);
• Experience in designing or managing Web and Batch applications (SOAP, REST, micro-services, integration patterns, java batch, spring batch, mainframe batch) is a plus
• A responsible attitude and ambition in achieving your mission;
• A good combination of rigor, creativity and communication skills;
• Fast learner, team player, independent, ability to handle multiple tasks and functional topics simultaneously;
