English (advanced) Scripting (advanced) VMware (advanced) Troubleshooting (advanced) Linux OS (advanced) Red Hat (advanced) IDM (advanced) Get to know the role The primary purpose of the Senior Linux Engineer is to maintain the Linux infrastructure and provide technical support on systems used as commodity service for multiple Atos customers. This support entails proactive management and troubleshooting in case of fault and ensuring that the service meets or exceeds the established Service Level Agreements and quality standards. Check your future tasksMaintain and adapt the infrastructure (Redhat 7 & 8, Server and workstation, VMware);Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers;Managing Directory Service: IDM (Identity Data Management), OpenLDAP;L3 Incident resolution, problem resolution, change implementation;Troubleshooting, co-ordination with third party suppliers as well as with the central IT department of the customer;Advise the project team and customer request;Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity management;Create and maintain the relevant documents/manuals describing the system and its infrastructure;Possibility to participate in standby 24h/7;Provide input for Incidents/Problems/Change/Defects post closure analysis to the Incident/Problem/Change Manager and/or the Technical Team Leader;Provide input in order to organize regular knowledge transfer sessions;Automating using scripting. Match your experience to needed skillsAt least 8 years of professional experience in the specific ICT domains as described below;At least 3 years’ experience with RedHat 7 (and higher) Enterprise Linux;Experience in scripting (i.e. ksh, bash, perl, python, ansible);Experience with VMWare;Experience to support Linux tooling (i.e. Red Hat IDM, Centreon, Nagios, Satellite 6.X, Ansible tower,..);Able to configure identity and access management (LDAP) and centralized IT security policy management;Knowledge of server virtualization software (VMware vSphere, VMware ESX);Knowledge to support, install Linux server in VMWare environments;Knowledge to support, install Linux workstation;General experience on Cloud i.e. Azure, Oracle;Good communication skills;Knowledge of ITIL V3 processes;English (min. B2 level). Nice to haveExperience with VMware vROps;Knowledge about approach infrastructure as a code;Experience in migrating OpenLDAP to IDM;Red Hat valid certification: RHCSA or RHCE;2nd language: French.
