Autodesk Revit, as the world-leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, helps architects, engineers, and other building industry professionals to design everything from the world’s tallest skyscrapers, largest airports, and even new landmarks.

Autodesk Revit team is seeking a Senior Scrum Master professional with experience in agile software development practices to lead two cross-functional scrum teams focused on leading our customers to Future of Design through cloud-enabled and data-centric workflows.


Responsibilities

  • Lead two or more Scrum teams helping them focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done
  • Coordinate deliverables and dependencies and schedule the execution with other Scrum Masters across the organisation
  • Drive project scoping efforts that enable business stakeholders to assess and plan major initiatives
  • Ensure that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the time-box.
  • Coach the team members in self-management and cross-functionality
  • Cause removal of impediments to team progress
  • Support, educate and help Product Owner find techniques for effective Product Backlog management, establish empirical product planning for a complex environment and, facilitating stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.
  • Provide transparency to stakeholders into teams’ product, iteration and increment goals
  • Help team members and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work
  • Remove barriers between stakeholders and teams
  • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation
  • Build a safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving

Minimum Qualifications

  • Leading Scrum Teams using Scrum or SAFe Agile practice in large-scale software development projects in Technology Companies, delivering highly scalable and robust systems, complex technical products or services in a fast-paced environment using Agile and lean techniques and methodologies.
  • BS, MS or PhD – Engineering or Computer Science is a typical qualification, but we are open to people who took other paths to the world of software engineering
  • Highly motivated, disciplined and self-directed with a commitment to excellence
  • Exceptional planning, facilitation, dependency management, risk management & analysis skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor and advocate at multiple levels, including team members, product owners and management
  • Preference for collaborative work within an agile practice as a member of a multi-discipline team
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good understanding of both the theory and application of Agile practices
  • Expertise with the application of Agile tools (such as JIRA, Kanban boards, etc.)

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.
  • Experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (various Burndown technologies, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
  • Experience working with teams developing, delivering and operating cloud software and services
