Senior Software Engineer Java- Hybrid Remote in Constanţa

Team: The OneSearch Team develops Geocoding and Search , which is part of HERE Location Services offer. Geocoding and Search make the world's addresses and places findable. We answer questions like: Where is this address? Find me a certain place of interest (POI)? Where is the next supermarket? Where am I? We are the service behind the search box on your navigation device, but we are also more.   Our team is spread across offices in the USA, India, Poland, and Germany. Well-known enterprises leverage our services and platform for locating addresses and location tracking at a rate of thousands of hits each second. Map data is important in many countries of the world. There are special local regulations on how to handle or deliver the map, while data preparation often has country-specific variants. You will take the technical lead to prepare the map data and host HERE Geocoder and Search for countries with special laws around map data. Your experience, knowledge and passion for software engineering will help and inspire the teams to compile high-value map data for a great user experience in production. You will work with internal stakeholders to monitor and increase data quality and deliver the results the user is looking for. In this role, you will:  Work with big data, the HERE base map, and condense the important part for Geocoder and Search from it. Constantly monitor and improve the data process. Adapt changes in the input data. Prepare the data for new features in Geocoder and Search. Work in compliance with security and operational guidelines. Apply and extend tools and take end-to-end ownership of the data processing stack. Who are you? You have experience with all aspects of the production software lifecycle. You have good interpersonal skills and feel comfortable working across teams. You are interested in location-based services and data in addition to the following qualities: Proven proficiency in software development and architecture. Programming experience in Java and Bash scripting. Experience with big data, Hadoop MapReduce and Apache Spark . Experience with build tools like Maven . Experience in AWS in general and AWS EMR in particular. Understanding of modern microservice architectures . Would be a plus Experience in Docker/Kubernetes, GitLab/GitLab CICD Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk Knowledge of the HTTP protocol, REST and JSON What do we offer?
