Senior Software Engineer – Oracle Database in Bucuresti

At DAC.digital, we are constantly growing our business. By joining our company your primary role will be to support Cloud Deployment operations by designing and building new software code. The application (mobile and web) you will work on provides the highest level of password security, runs on the desktop, is used to automatically search the user’s passwords necessary for example: to open a cryptocurrency wallet, to transfer funds, exchange tokens, etc. Everything is done in “password-free authentication” mode. It is a proven model trusted by industry leaders with millions of users deployed worldwide. Key information: Salary: 25 000 – 27 500 PLN net month – B2B contract Level: Senior It is vital that you:  Expert level knowledge of Java SE 11+; Expert level knowledge of Oracle DB 19c or above and SQL; Expert level knowledge of building and designing services to handle high volume DB transactions; Expert level knowledge of various DB replication architectures including multi-master 1; Expert level knowledge of API first systems – ability to leverage 12 factor design principles; Strong knowledge of containers like Docker and associated design/deploy patterns; Strong knowledge of hybrid deployments – combination of on-premise and cloud; Strong knowledge of at-least one dynamically typed language (Python, Ruby, Scala, Kotlin or similar) ; Strong knowledge of at least one scripting language (bash, PowerShell or similar); Good knowledge of data structures, clean code, modularity and design patterns; Excellent analytical / troubleshooting and debugging skills; Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication in English. We will be more than happy if you have: Experience in Oracle Database Administration; Knowledge of Oracle DB replication tools, Golden Gate is strongly preferred; Expert knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery options and tools; Development experience with Kotlin; Experience with Kubernetes platform; Experience with one of the major cloud providers: AWS, Azure or similar; Exposure to at-least one non-relational database: Mongo, Cassandra, HBase or similar; Proactively use of test driven development. Understanding of strengths and weaknesses of various testing approaches. You will be responsible for supporting our team in: Design and test highly scalable components for core HYPR authentication servers with a focus on the Oracle DB layer; Database design, development, testing, and performance tuning; Working with the wider engineering team to design for data scalability and performance in a multi-region application cluster; Researching, investigating and defining new areas of technology to improve existing products or new product directions; Collaboration with team members, test engineering and QA is critical.
