Your duties will include configuring systems using Network Control approved product implementation standards, as well as acquiring working knowledge of regional market needs and helping drive standardization in the delivery process.Your responsibilitiesSetup and configuration of servers’ and workstations’ OS platforms including (but not limited to): network & disk configuration, firmware updates, OS troubleshooting and performance tuning, installation and configuration of HITACHI Energy EMS/DMS/SCADA systems onto physical hardware as well as virtual environmentInstallation and configuration of Windows and Linux operating systems, including RedHat GFS and other cluster file system (High Availability Setup)Installation and configuration of Oracle/Postgres Database, middleware and other 3rd party softwareInfrastructure security implementation: Windows and RHEL platform hardening according to industry recognized benchmarks; antivirus, whitelisting, backup, SIEM and NMS solutions integration with existing infrastructureFollowing emerging cyberthreat trends in ICS and recommend related security design updateCreate or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and guidelinesShare your experience and skills with other team membersCooperate with other teams and the customers using English (if you can speak, then also German) on daily basis - international travel required (up to 15%)Your backgroundUnderstanding system administration capabilities of Windows operating system, Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy and commercial RDBMS, especially Oracle/PostgresGood understanding of TCP/IP networking in a server-client environmentAbility to understand and write in at least one scripting language (Powershell, Perl, Python, Bash, VBS)Cyber Security knowledgeKnowledge of Linux (RHEL) would be an advantageEagerness to learn various technologies including inhouse products and toolsCuriosity to troubleshoot and determination to achieve the goalMore about usHitachi Energy is a global technology leader that is advancing a sustainable energy future for all.
