Job Description As a Senior Systems Administrator you will focus on configuration, architecture, design and implementation of QAD’s Cloud infrastructure systems and solutions. You will provide recommendations to deploy necessary improvements to ensure continuous operation of the high traffic, business critical solutions and environments. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Cloud Customer infrastructure is highly available and secure. You will propose and implement infrastructure system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of QAD’s Service Delivery. You will work with operational teams to address new system enhancements and or solutions to new service delivery offerings. You will deliver documentation and training to operational teams so they can utilize infrastructure systems in support of QAD Service Delivery. What You’ll Do: Define, design and document QAD Service Delivery Infrastructure systems. Make recommendations for improvements necessary to ensure operation of the solutions and environments. Develop work instructions, architecture diagrams, and process documentation for the architected solutions. Make corrections and improvements as needed to existing processes and designs and document them. Propose and implement infrastructure system enhancements (software and hardware updates) to improve the performance and reliability of the network system. Apply capacity planning to business recommendations.Train service delivery operational teams how to utilize infrastructure systems and solutions using design documents, architecture diagrams, and work instructions. Work with management, develop training plans for new services and solutions.Act as an escalation point of contact for performance analysis, scalability and service architecture/database administration issues. May coordinate equipment orders, as well as upgrading, monitoring, testing and servicing the database/systems. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or Computer ScienceAbout 7-8 years System Administration experience with private and public cloud solutions (VMware, Amazon Web Services). Experience with backup and recovery services for public and private cloud solutions. Experience with networking architecture and administrationComputer skills: Linux and Windows operating systems administration. Industry certifications like, RHCE, AWS certifications preferred.Driving through customer strategies in often complex, mixed technology environments.Balancing technological and business solutions to address client needs.Defining features, requirements and development phases against which delivery must be made.Developing solution specifications in line with business strategies and appropriate frameworks. Integration Architectures and incorporating how solutions can be integrated and interact within one another.A self-starter with well-developed problem solving skills and very good communication skills Fluent English language skills is a must have Additional Information Your health and well being are important to us at QAD.
