About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join an operating, product-driven gaming company.

You will act as a senior-level bridge between creative, programming, and engineering teams, taking full ownership of the technical integrity of our games. You will be responsible for ensuring that our high-fidelity visual ambitions are matched by world-class performance and robust engineering standards across our flagship titles and unreleased projects.

The environment is high-load and consumer-facing, where visual polish and technical optimization directly impact retention for millions of players. You will not only execute but also lead the research and development of technical tools, pipelines, and shaders that empower our entire production team.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a key intermediary between the heads of programming and design to align complex technical possibilities with creative vision.
  • Architect, build, and maintain good workflows and pipelines for asset creation.
  • Drive the validation and optimization of game content, ensure assets are visually while maintaining optimal performance for a global mobile audience.
  • Create high-end visual effects from concept using advanced simulations, particle systems, and custom shaders.
  • Develop complex in-engine scripts and pipeline tools to automate asset management, export, and validation.
  • Bridge the gap from design to engine by implementing fully functional, modular, and well-structured UI screens.
  • Partner with animators and developers to create performance-sensitive interactive sequences and transitions in-engine.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience working with game content in-engine (Unity).
  • Expert-level experience with C# or Python focused on tool development and game logic.
  • Extensive experience in shader development, including HLSL/GLSL or renderer-specific languages.
  • Expert understanding of rendering pipelines, lighting techniques, and post-processing effects.
  • Knowledge of geometries, topologies, UV maps, skins, and rigs.
  • High-level artistic skills in proportion, color, and composition, supported by a strong portfolio or reel.
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher (strong verbal and written communication skills).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced experience with Maya, including complex modeling, exporting, and MELScript/Python automation.
  • Mastery of the Unity ecosystem and advanced C# optimization techniques.
  • Experience developing for high-load mobile products.
  • Background in building or maintaining scalable Design Systems within a game engine.
