Site Quality Engineer (QA/QC) About the Role Location Romania Bucuresti Bucharest Company Siemens Energy Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Competence Hub Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Mid-level Professional A Snapshot of Your Day,The duties of the Quality Engineer are to support the Quality Manager in Projects regarding the management and control of Subcontractor Quality throughout all stages of manufacturing and installation. Ensuring all standards and specifications are met, the Quality Engineer will provide additional assistance to the Project Team by undertaking pre-manufacturing inspections and in-process inspections and audits carried out on a risk basis at the construction location (on projects sites) and the premises of equipment manufacturers and materials suppliers.How You’ll Make an Impact Audits and Inspections: Carry out audits on site for internal and subcontractor ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with management systems, specifications, standards and contracts is maintained throughout the project lifecycle, and any defects, non-conformances or Opportunities for Improvement are identified and followed through to implementation. Pre-manufacturing inspections, pre-delivery inspections also form an important part of the Quality Engineers role to highlight any possible issues as early as possible. Records and Documentation: Critical to successful Project delivery is the management and collation of construction and installation documentation and records. Work Inspection Sheets, Inspection Point records, delivery notes, Inspection reports. With support from Document Control, ensuring that all this Quality Documentation is efficiently captured and stored. Inspection and Test Plans: Ensuring that the Inspection and Test Plans written to control the manufacturing and site installation activities are adhered to, with all verifying documentation compiled as the Project Progresses and clients notified of Inspection Points as per the ITPs. Reviewing, approving, monitoring and endorsing as appropriate, Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans and undertaking associated compliance verification activities as appropriate. Quality Reporting: Weekly working with the QMiP is required for providing visibility of site progress and any issues requiring escalation or intervention from Quality. Non-Conformance Management: As part of the defect management process the Quality Engineer will be required to provide support to the site team for raising, managing and closing out Non-Conformances in a timely manner. Client Liaison: Acting as the point of contact for the customer the Quality Engineer will represent Quality from a site level during meetings and site inspections. What You Bring Several years' experience in at least one project-related job as part of a Project Delivery Team (erection, engineering, commissioning etc.) Previous experience working on HVDC or AC Grid Access Substations. Managing Defects Non-Conformances Qualification (Degree in / Mechanical / Electro / Information Technology) IRCA registered Lead Auditor Member of a Professional Body IET / CQIWillingness to travel globally for medium and long assignments. (50-70%)Excellent command of spoken and written English, German language skills are nice to have.Driving license
