Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) objective is to deploy technology and digital solution in a substantially more comprehensive manner across the bank. This function is responsible for implementing the bank’s technology strategy focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, reducing administrative overheads, de-coupling assets within our IT estate for faster, cheaper deployment, as well as modernizing the bank’s IT infrastructure with long-term investments and benefiting from cloud computing.
Software Asset Management (SAM) involves managing and optimising the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilisation, and disposal of software applications. Software License Management (SLM) is sub-process of SAM, which includes controlling how the company's software products are able to run to enforce and ensure compliance with software licenses.
Software Asset Management Ops. Data Specialist: The overall responsibility of this function is to improve/create a robust governance around how Deutsche Bank is handling its Software License Management (SLM). This includes, but is not limited to, defining consistent processes, roles & responsibilities and frameworks for SLM to ensure that we are able to demonstrate effective cost controls & independently auditable controls around the deployed Software. You will review, improve the current software license portfolio, create real time Management Reporting, look for cost saving opportunities to help reduce DB’s cost base, and define & implement new controls to ensure SLM risks are minimised. In addition, you will manage a team and over all responsible for SLM Operation deliverable.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain set of existing SAM relevant data, such as purchases, installs, license metrics, organizational and financial data.
- Perform quality assurance tests on datasets, identify issues and address them with respective data stewards.
- Utilize data to generate and publish standard and custom reports on SW footprint, financial planning and compliance related topics.
- Develop/document SOPs for data related topics.
- Support the wider SAM team in data related queries.
- Publish key findings in management reports.
- Interact with key stake holders and advise them on critical issues.
You will have:
- A strong background in banking or similar complex large organization (at least 3-5 years in the industry)
- Previous knowledge or experience in Financial Management, Software License/Asset Management, Sourcing & Procurement or IT Project Management disciplines
- An understanding of software contract / license types and their meaning and implications for an organization incl. experience or knowledge of open source or Cloud provider software license implications
- Experience engaging, communicating and influencing senior management of all levels
- Experience of managing a team
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to demonstrate flexibility in problem solving
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in both written and verbal English
- A good understanding of the complexities around working in distributed global teams
