About the RoleThe Role Of a Software Engineer Engages InResearching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs;Identifying areas for upgrade in existing programs;Writing and implementing efficient code;Determining operational practicality;Deploying software tools, processes, and metrics;Maintaining and upgrading existing systems;Job ResponsibilitiesData Extraction, Transformation, and Loading – use specialized tools such as Pentaho Spoon to create and manage complex ETL processes;Specialized Data Handling – working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL;Data integration – ensure that systems created by other teams integrate properly and respect the requirements defined by the architecture team;Contribute to the development of new analytical methods and tools to be used on internal/external level;Front-end development of light interfaces for internal use;QualificationsKnowledge of SQL database environments (MSSQL, mySQL and PostreSQL);Experience with ETL tools as Pentaho Spoon;Experience with:.Net Framework, .Net Core, C#, PostgreSQL, Microservices, REST APIs, architectural design patterns, software design patterns;Experience with: Angular and TypeScript or other JavaScript frameworks;Exposure to web development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript frameworks);DevOps skills working with AWS/Azure is an asset;Python knowledge is an asset;Any other evidence of your passion for building great software;You have a University degree (preferably in a science related subject or in engineering);Meticulous and attentive to detail;Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills;Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission vision and values;#LI-SM1About UsSustainalytics is a Morningstar company dedicated to responsible investment with over 25 years' experience in ESG research and ratings.
