Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist – Cardiology to join our Cardiovascular Hospital team. The successful candidate will provide specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive cardiac care for patients with cardiovascular diseases. The Specialist Cardiologist will assess patients, manage cardiac conditions, interpret diagnostic investigations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive cardiac assessments including history taking, physical examination, and clinical evaluation.
- Manage patients with coronary artery disease, hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and other cardiac disorders.
- Interpret diagnostic investigations including ECG, echocardiography, stress tests, and cardiac imaging.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based guidelines.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative cardiac assessments for surgical patients.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients regarding cardiovascular risk factors, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and continuing medical education.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.

Education
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Specialist qualification in Cardiology.
- Valid medical license and professional registration.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Specialist Cardiologist.
- Experience in a hospital or cardiovascular care setting.
- Experience managing complex cardiac patients is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular medicine and current treatment guidelines.
- Ability to diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
- Proficiency in interpreting ECG and cardiac diagnostic tests.
- Knowledge of preventive cardiology and risk management.
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in interventional cardiology or cardiac imaging is an advantage.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience working in a tertiary cardiovascular hospital.
