The hospital in question is situated on an Island between Finland and Sweden. Although the island is Finnish, the language spoken is Swedish. It has approximately 30.000 inhabitants (and growing) but due to the geographical location – they need to have a fully equipped emergency hospital that covers everything from obstetrics/gynaecology, surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, Internal medicine with all its subspecialties, orthopaedics, etc.

For the paediatric department a skilled doctor is needed. All children between the ages of 0 and 18 are treated here, and with the limited population base, the breadth of the diagnostics and the occurring diseases is very broad. Here you also see very rare diagnoses. The clinic is very well organised and includes both an eating disorder clinic and a child psychiatric outpatient clinic.

Overall, the collaboration between the clinics is extremely well-functioning and the competence of both colleagues and nurses is high. There is a very good working climate in general at the hospital.

We are looking for you who:
Are a specialist in paediatrics with an authorisation from an EU-country
Wants to work widely
Preferably have a few years’ experience as a specialist and who are competent on call
Can take a lot of personal responsibility and are also interested in further developing the business
Interested in supervision and further training for both BT/AT, ST and other people at the clinic
Have good leadership skills and are an excellent communicator
