Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Specialist – Internal Medicine (Nephrology) to provide specialized care for patients with kidney-related diseases and cardiovascular-related renal conditions. The successful candidate will diagnose and manage renal disorders, hypertension, electrolyte abnormalities, and kidney complications associated with cardiovascular diseases while working closely with cardiology, ICU, and dialysis teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases.
  • Provide consultation for cardiovascular patients with renal complications.
  • Manage hypertension, electrolyte imbalance, fluid disorders, and renal dysfunction.
  • Evaluate patients requiring dialysis and renal replacement therapy.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, surgeons, and dialysis teams.
  • Provide pre-operative renal assessment for cardiac surgery patients.
  • Monitor renal function and optimize medication management.
  • Manage critically ill patients with acute kidney injury in ICU settings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Support clinical quality improvement initiatives and medical education activities.


Requirements

Requirements

Education

  • Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent).
  • Specialist qualification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
  • Valid medical license and specialist registration.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in Nephrology.
  • Experience in hospital-based renal care and multidisciplinary environments.
  • ICU, dialysis, or cardiovascular patient management experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of renal diseases and nephrology treatment protocols.
  • Knowledge of dialysis indications and renal replacement therapies.
  • Ability to manage complex medical patients with multiple comorbidities.
  • Understanding of cardiovascular-renal interactions.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing patients in dialysis units or critical care settings.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Experience in cardiac hospitals or tertiary care facilities.
