Join our team as a Senior SQ&D Engineer!
As a Senior SQ&D Engineer, you will support supplier quality and development activities, contributing to performance improvement initiatives and ensuring alignment with quality and delivery standards. In this role, you will help ensure that suppliers meet expected performance levels by supporting APQP and PPAP processes, monitoring key metrics, and collaborating closely with internal teams and suppliers. You will also act as a key interface for supplier-related topics, helping bring the Voice of the Supplier into the organization while supporting issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts
What you'll do:
Manage the performance of assigned suppliers through regular metrics reviews and follow-upsConduct supplier performance reviews and support continuous improvement of quality and deliveryDeploy and contribute to supplier development projectsSupport resolution of operational issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders, following escalation processesDevelop and maintain supplier KPIs and scorecards to track performance over timeManage supplier claims and ensure their timely and effective resolutionConduct supplier audits (including VDA/CSA) and follow up on corrective actionsCollaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to ensure supplier performanceEnsure supplier compliance with applicable quality standards and regulationsSupport and drive APQP activities through to project completionValidate ODT and PPAP submissions, including change management during serial productionEnsure lessons learned are captured and applied during both development and serial production phasesAct as the Voice of the Supplier within the organizationWhat we need:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive or manufacturing industryTechnical background in automotive, with knowledge of quality systems and process auditing (VDA 6.3 preferred)Experience working in a manufacturing environment and with production processesStrong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including APQP, PPAP, D/PFMEA, DOE, ISO, and IATF 16949Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specificationsExperience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Cause & Effect analysisIATF 16949 Internal Auditor certificationFluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plusWillingness to travel up to 25%Six Sigma experience is a plus
