As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in developing and executing sourcing strategies to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure supply chain continuity. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes.
You will report directly to our Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager and work from our Lugoj, Romania location on a hybrid (3+2) schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop the supplier base for assigned components, ensuring high performance in delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
Support EMEA HLS projects and coordinate procurement activities for allocated components.
Identify and onboard new suppliers (local and international), lead RFQs, evaluate proposals, and support supplier selection decisions.
Negotiate pricing, delivery, and contractual terms, and finalize supplier agreements.
Drive or support supply transfer initiatives to optimize cost and footprint.
Maintain accurate supplier data in MRP and OneSource systems and monitor supplier performance through KPIs and reporting.
Participate in supplier audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within procurement.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
Solid expertise in sourcing, negotiation, and contract management, with an understanding of market dynamics.
Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Experience supporting transitions involving engineering and production stakeholders is an advantage.
Fluent in English; strong data analysis skills (Excel, PowerPoint); SAP knowledge is a plus.
