For a country market leader in FMCG in Romania we are looking for a Supply Chain Country Manager to coordinate the whole network of warehouses and distribution across the country.
The Supply Chain Country Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations at national level. This executive role ensures seamless planning, production coordination, warehousing, transportation, and distribution to achieve maximum service level, cost efficiency, and product freshness in a highly time-sensitive FMCG environment.
The position plays a critical strategic role in ensuring nationwide product availability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the entire distribution network.
- Define and execute the national end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Oversee demand planning, production coordination, inventory management, logistics, and nationwide distribution of fresh bread products.
- Ensure seamless daily operations and optimize route planning and last-mile delivery to guarantee freshness and high service levels.
- Manage transport fleet (owned and outsourced), distribution centers, warehouses, and cross-docking hubs to secure OTIF performance.
- Monitor and improve key supply chain KPIs, driving cost control, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Lead automation and digitalization initiatives (ERP, WMS, TMS) to enhance visibility and performance.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to improve forecast accuracy and align production capacity with market demand.
- Lead and develop nationwide teams, fostering accountability, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement culture.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and H&S standards, while managing risk mitigation and business continuity plans.
- Drive strategic growth initiatives, including network expansion and sustainability improvements.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8–10 years experience in FMCG supply chain, with at least 3–5 years in senior leadership role.
- Experience in fresh food / bakery / short shelf-life products is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of distribution network management and route optimization.
- Experience managing large operational teams at national level.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen.
