Your new role Being a part of international Data Services Team responsible for: Support and maintenance of global infrastructure - it highest availability, is scalability, reliability, security and providing services for clients and stakeholders Provides Database as a Service for Microsoft SQL, Vertica, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, Redis, Elastic Search Ensures the availability and maintenance of data stream-processing and message-broker technologies, like Kafka & RabbitMQ Supervises big data processing and storage platforms on Apache Hadoop and its multiple related tools Your main duties: Collaborate with your team and other teams (Software development, Cloud, Network, Security, DevOps), stakeholders and management to be up to date with company goals and agreed SLA Automate everything what needs to be done more than once Perform databases engineer routine tasks to keep the service up to date and performing to the highest standards and company technology stack requirements Performance tuning HA management Perform maintenance tasks, updates, patching, version upgrades Ensuring supported systems are up to date with all security improvements Backup and recovery Logging, monitoring, and alerting Solve incidents, consult on improvements, cooperate with 3rd party technical support Share knowledge and consult stakeholders on architecture and usage of databases What you'll need to succeed Experience in Linux based systems like RedHat, CentOS, etc. Openness to learn and master of new technologies (e.g. Kafka, Elasticsearch, MongoDB) Passion about automating everything (Python, Bash, etc.) Good communication skills Good command of English (B2+) Extra points for: Experience with any NoSQL databases technology and/or Hadoop eco-system Knowledge of data stream-processing and message-broker technologies, like Kafka or RabbitMQ Knowledge of Postgres  Knowledge of GIT Some programming/scripting experience, like Python, Bash, Go, etc. Hands-on experience in configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, etc. Experience with any of monitoring tools, like Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana, etc. What you'll get in return Flexible forms of employment - contract of employment or B2B Work in international environment with experienced team Possibility of further technical skills development Office in Warsaw City center Benefits package: sport card, medical package, group insurance Mandatory legal footer to be added at the bottom of job description Hays Poland sp. z o.o. is an employment agency registered in a registry kept by Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship under the number 361. #1173352
