We are looking for a Team Lead / Senior Software Engineer who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission. Our SaaS products facilitate the intelligent automation of energy trading. These high-performant real-time systems connect to power and gas exchanges, and they use smart and highly parametrizable built-in algorithms for trading on these exchanges. Our customers are producers and traders of energy. The Volue Trading team is located both in Munich, Germany, and in Gdańsk, Poland. You will be based in Gdańsk, leading a small team of Software Engineers. What you will be doing to make a difference: • Serve as the Team Lead for our Gdańsk team of Software Engineers. You provide guidance and support for your team members by sharing your knowledge and experience, while facilitating a perfect collaboration with the Munich based teams of Software Engineers and Product Owners. • Be a senior contributor in the development team that builds and maintains the most important part of our business: our trading platform. • Participate in refining specifications, planning sprints, reviewing code, automating tests, and creating documentation. • Work with the latest technology and ensure we deliver great products that meet our standards for reliability and performance. • You analyse new technologies and best practices to incorporate them into our setup and thus constantly improve our product. What you need to succeed: • You have experience being Team Lead with a modern, coach-like understanding of the role, and you want to build on those skills in a collaborative environment. • You have 7+ years of experience with C# back-end development and you create clean, elegant, tested code, that separates concerns. • You have experience with frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript and ideally React. • You are up to date with cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS), CI/CD, Docker. • You are a team player and facilitator, as you will collaborate with different Development teams, Infrastructure, Support, and Product Owners. You can understand and explain requirements and find solutions collaboratively. • Business fluency in English, German is a plus.
