Team Leader Transport EU in Arad

Webasto is looking for: Responsibilities: • Leading Function of the EU-TM Team: As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the EU-TM Team, which includes the Planning Team and Execution Team. You will establish team goals, delegate tasks, and monitor performance to ensure objectives are met. Your leadership will involve coaching and mentoring team members, fostering a collaborative work environment, and resolving any team conflicts. You will also be responsible for hiring decisions, conducting performance evaluations, and facilitating professional development opportunities for your team. • Management of KPIs: You will define, track, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the transport department. This involves setting performance targets, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. You will use KPIs to drive continuous improvement, identify areas for optimization, and measure the effectiveness of transport operations. You will also present KPI reports to management and use this data to inform strategic decisions. • Stakeholder Communication: As a team leader, effective communication is crucial. You will act as the main point of contact for the transport department, liaising with other departments, suppliers, carriers, and external stakeholders. You will ensure that all parties are kept informed of relevant updates and changes. Your strong communication skills will help to build and maintain strong relationships, facilitate collaboration, and ensure alignment between the transport department and the wider business objectives. • Budget Management: As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the department’s budget. This includes forecasting costs, tracking expenses, and making necessary adjustments to stay within budget. You will also work to identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for more efficient use of resources. • Training and Development: You will oversee the training and development of your team members. This includes identifying skill gaps, developing training programs, and providing coaching to enhance their skills. You will also foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. • Risk Management: You will identify potential risks in the transport operations, such as delays, accidents, or regulatory non-compliance. You will then develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the transport department. • Project Management: You will lead or participate in projects aimed at improving the transport operations or implementing new initiatives. This includes planning the project, coordinating with other departments, monitoring progress, and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget. Qualifications: • Experience in Operative Transport Disposition and Planning: You have a proven track record in managing, coordinating, and planning transport operations. • Carrier Experience: You have previously worked for a carrier and understand the dynamics of the transport industry. • Analytic Skills: You possess strong analytic skills and can make data-driven decisions. • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of German is a plus. • Knowledge in a TMS: Experience with a Transport Management System, preferably Alpega, is a plus. • Knowledge in SAP: Familiarity with SAP software is a plus. • MS-Office Knowledge: You are proficient in MS-Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerBI. • Customs Knowledge: Understanding of customs procedures is a plus. • Dangerous Goods Knowledge: Familiarity with handling dangerous goods, such as batteries and chemicals, is a plus. • Knowledge on Sea and Airfreight: Experience with sea and air freight is a plus. • Leadership Skills: You have experience leading a team, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide team members towards achieving operational goals. • Communication Skills: You possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to your team and other stakeholders. • Problem-Solving Skills: You have the ability to quickly identify and address issues that may impact the performance of the transport department. • Decision-Making Skills: You can make effective decisions under pressure, considering the impacts on the team and the wider business. • Experience: You should have 2–5 years of experience in the automotive and transport industries in a team-leader role.
