What will you be doing as a Trader Softseed
The role of Trader is to manage the crushing and trading activity and to run the implementation of commercial strategy & operations of the company for the oilseeds crush and trading complex, included by not limited to softseeds, vegetable oils and protein meals trading, risk management/hedging activity and production planning.
This should be completed through the following activities:
Responsibilities:
Manage the commercial position within company limits, aligning it with product line managers and fundamentally supporting it with professional analysis and market reading.
Actively participate in commercial strategy-making and implement the commercial strategy, tactics, and tools.
Build and implement a trading game plan, including ensuring accurate and timely informational flow to relevant teams, running pricing/origination/crush margin/costs calculations, and developing and sustaining regional/product commodities trade.
Manage and develop the company's portfolio of customers and contribute to the account management process.
Properly manage company exposure, including market exposure, counterparty and contractual exposure and execution risk, and logistic and execution exposure and risk.
Be responsible for the daily, monthly, and yearly P&L for the relevant group of products, in terms of reaching targeted results and trading P&L month-end running and reconciliation with financial P&L.
Keep up-to-date market intelligence data such as supply and demand analysis, import/export flows, vessel line-ups, and daily replacement margins calculations. What you can bring to the role:
2-3 years’ experience – preferable in Agri-business or Commercial field;
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience;
Advanced level of English;
Strong numerical skills, analytical and logical thinking;
Customer focus and results orientation;
Good negotiation skills;
