It will lead and/or guide all Faith & Development (F&D) contributions in policy, programming, SI 1.1.work streams, collaboration and evidence building. It will lead in building and maintaining collaboration and partnerships with critical stakeholders, e.g. churches, faith-based organisations, faith actors, etc. The position will also provide biblical insights, narrative and advice on fragile context undertaking. The role will ensure that all programming F&D engagement in fragile contexts will contribute to holistic child well-being.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIESWithin the context of the Partnership strategy, drive the role of F&D as a key contributor to holistic Child Well-being (CWB) in Fragile Context Work with relevant regional leaders, National Directors and F&D regional and National staff to define F&D local, national and regional priorities and appropriate approaches to operationalize F&D strategic priorities and contribution.Work with and provide inputs to global technical sectors to ensure F&D integration in developing and mainstreaming evidence-based program approaches, project models, intervention packages, guidance, capacity building and learning resources for use in fragile contexts, ensuring holistic development for children, specifically their spiritual nurture and development.Lead in the discernment and development of biblical narrative, insights, and guidance on fragile context, ensuring that critical theological issues are addressed, e.g. pain and suffering. Lead the process of integrating spiritual root causes analysis and development and/or dissemination of related tools and guidance.Develop and/or adapt practical and actionable guidance for F&D in fragile contexts (including global minimum standards and M&E tools)Ensures F&D in fragile context learning and innovation are documented and communicatedWith F&D internal facing, build organisational capacity for F&D integration and impact in FC.Collaborate with Evidence & Learning (E&L) to strengthen data monitoring and evaluation (DM&E) in FC and apply learning to F&D as appropriate.Identify and capture best practices related to faith & faith actors and their key role in addressing children’s vulnerabilities in FC.Use these identified practices to develop resources responding to the high demand for evidence-based approaches in FC.Document, organise and share best practices in addressing key vulnerabilities and use them to enrich existing programming and M&E tools.Work with Sector Grant Specialists to utilise grants and document innovations in FC for future donor communications and grant proposals.Champion cross-sector collaboration for F&D integration with sectors and Disaster Management, development and advocacy in FC.Ensure F&D in fragile contexts is effective, agile, and fit for purpose, incorporating the best and innovative practices from both humanitarian/DM and development experiencesIdentifies, explores and acts on improvement opportunitiesLead collaboration and development/maintenance of partnerships/relationships with churches, faith-based organisations, and faith actors for CWBKeep abreast of the latest developments and innovations in the Faith and church and other faith actors’ engagement in FC relevant to WV and share them internally.KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE5-7 years experience in/with faith, faith actors and faith-related issues in humanitarian and development programming in field location.5-7 years experience and demonstrated understanding of other faith communities, the complexity of working as a Christian NGO within interfaith contexts, relationship with the faith and development arena, major players, and joint work towards sustainable development goals.Extensive experience and proven results in overseeing or supporting multi-country programmes in a Fragile Context.Proven experience with grant-funded programmes and managing donor relationships.Demonstrated ability to interact effectively in culturally and religiously diverse environments.A team player with proven effectiveness in working collaboratively with others and developing internal and external partnerships.Clarity in conceptual thinking and communication, including critical thinking skills and the ability to challenge the status quo.Excellent communication skills in writing and producing clear, concise and appealing documents. High degree of flexibility & adaptability when working in a constantly changing environment with high ambiguity. Exemplary personal Christian commitment, vibrant spirituality, and Christ-centered life and work.In-depth knowledge of Faith and Development programming in fragile contexts and disaster management and emergency.Clear understanding and endorsement of Our Promise 2030 and ability to lead F&D work in a Fragile Context in light of the strategy.Strong ability to effectively and sensitively persuade, motivate and work together with stakeholders in intercultural settings and at all levels of an organisationSelf-starter with strong time management, coordination, prioritisation, and multi-tasking skills.Master’s degree in a relevant academic field (international development, disaster management, relief and development, child development and psychology, community development, etc.) or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in the field.Bilingual candidates (especially with knowledge of Romanian, and Ukrainian ) are preferred.Emergency/disaster preparedness training completed and maintained.Travel and/or Work Environment RequirementThe position requires the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.Language RequirementsWorking knowledge of EnglishApplicant Types Accepted:Local Applicants Only
