We are now seeking a dynamic Vice President of Central Eastern Europe who has the drive and expertise to bring together products, services and technology under a single platform. With the passion to empower our veterinary practice partners towards improved healthcare and financial outcomes, you would be joining a team of five international business Vice Presidents, and a company of 5,500 employees, across 19 countries, providing services for 100,000 customer worldwide.The Vice President of Central Europe will report directly to the President International, and will have direct responsibility for the region encompassing Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. You will provide vision, leadership and overall strategic direction for all the employees across this region. This will involve leading the region across functions with a strong focus on improving key customer relationships and overall commercial and operational strategy. You will be an excellent leader and team player, with the ability to build relationships across the global business and play an active role in the ongoing transformation of Covetrus into the top global animal health technology and services company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage all strategic and day-to-day operational aspects of the Central Eastern Europe organisation with an emphasis on performance improvement, productivity and bottom-line results, coupled with teamwork and communication at all levels.Deliver annual budgets and revenue and profit goals.Oversee the development of the company’s marketing strategies to veterinarians, required to effectively differentiate the company and optimize growth, marketshare and industry visibility. Ensure these plans are effectively executed by the local organizations.Prepare the regional organisation for the launch of the technology platform enabling the direct to customer channel.Drive organisational capability by building a highly committed and capable management team, coaching and mentoring incumbents and/or bringing in additional talent as needed. Provide employees with the authority, accountability, training, information and resources to achieve their full potential and successfully drive the company’s performance.Install measurement systems with a focus on commercial effectiveness and productivity. Fine-tune compensation programs to drive performance and ensure alignment with company goals.Spearhead programs to improve processes and efficiency and reduce costs, thereby enhancing the competitive position and increasing the profitability of the company.Play an active business development role in winning new customers. Work diligently to strengthen and broaden existing customer relationships.Ensure the regional organisation operates in a manner consistent with our Corporate values, target operating model, and International’s ways of working and principles.DESIRED OUTCOMESWithin the first 18 months, the key priorities will be as follows:Create a clear regional strategy and direction, with more cohesion across the region, greater coordination of action and increased regionalisation of key roles to address regionally consolidating customer groups.Strengthen and sustain strong financial performance as illustrated by market share gains and increased to top and bottom line.Improvement in employee engagement across the region, including frequent communication, clarifying employee roles, performance goals and metrics and enhancing team performance through feedback.You will have international experience and have managed a commercial P&L. You will be commercially experienced and have a history of driving revenue, ideally in a distribution business model. Strategically strong, you will have the ability to reduce complexity and focus on critical variables for success. With a strong track record of building and developing teams, you will instill a high sense of accountability and clear responsibilities. Operated on an international level and culturally versatile.
