Head of Development in Bucuresti

Green-on, an investment and development company has the ambition to develop a portfolio of +500MW of energy projects in Central and Eastern Europe. With 15 years of experience in renewables sector, Green-on is hiring a Head of Project Development to have overall responsibility for the Romanian portfolio. Responsibilities The job will be based in Bucharest and will require flexibility to travel regularly within the country. Manage the development of utility scale projects and storage Identify and originate of project development opportunities Lead and mentoring of the development team Perform Preliminary "Due Diligence" incl. land suitability, grid connection, enviro-social-legal screening Manage the negotiation with landowners to sign land agreements. Source, contract and manage development service providers. Manage and drive forward the entire permitting and interconnection processes, up to start of construction. Inform the company management of any market or legislative changes with regards to renewables and related solutions. Cost Control and Budget follow up. Participation in the process of continuous improvement of tools and methods Qualifications The candidate is motivated and diligent with a willingness to work within an international team. Fluent Romanian with excellent spoken and written English.
