Responsibilities
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for production database maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring and technical day to day operations.
- Build and maintain backup, recovery, high availability and DR procedures, scripts, monitoring, alerting and automation.
- Handle database performance monitoring and tuning, including advanced skills in the effective use of database tools.
- Diagnose, identify, and resolve database performance events and develop standard methodology database design patterns for use by application R&D teams for scalable and highly available enterprise application database solutions.
- Working in real time to proactively supervise Production database environments, providing DBA support in shifts to cover full working hours of Operative customers.
- Participate in on-call production support on a rotation basis.
- Develop automated solutions using scripting language and DevOps tools.
- Investigation and integration of new database technologies.
- Design and implementation of data processing operations (partitioning, data clean-up, data migration etc.).
- Participation in benchmark/sizing projects.
- Connect with internal and customer-facing teams, providing status updates for open issues, root cause analysis and problem remediation.
- Maintaining database operations documentation.
- Plan and implement training and knowledge sharing process to elevate technical skill level across the DBA team.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
- B/S in Finance, Accounting/Business Administration or IT
- Important years of experience overall business and accounting experience
- Significant experience and knowledge of Oracle ERP systems in some or all of the listed modules. (GL/AP/AR/FA/CE/CST/BI/Projects/Localizations)
- Proven understanding of the of application programming, database and system design.
- Able to capably use available system tools (BI, SQL, Oracle reporting tools) to collect and prepare data for troubleshooting, reporting and analytical tasks.
- Experience and ability to write and execute SQL queries on database tables for data mining
- Competence with all major Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio
- Uses prepared data to perform analysis of system behavior and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Functional business experience in a user capacity
- Able to handle several tasks at one time.
- Able to establish relationships with people at all levels and with Business partners.
- Strong analytical skills with problem solving ability.
- Very detail oriented with strong follow-up skills.
- Excellent English Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
