What will you do? With a permanent position working for Schneider Electric Regional Execution Platform (REP) Bratislava, Senior Layout Design Leader is specialised in Substation spatial planning, electrical MV/LV Power and control/Automation equipment Installation, E-House Integration, Cabling Infrastructure (Cable management systems), earthing Installations and Rules, Busway Installation, Basics HVAC and F&G system basics and 2D and 3D drafting using Autocad/Revit/Archicad/AVEVA tools As part of a project team, Senior Layout Design Leader: Acts as the leader of the technical content of the project, and is the single point of contact regarding all layout technical topics; Make sure customer technical requirements are fulfilled (in terms of performance, quality, costs and time), in compliance with the contract, and based on the Architecture & Technical specifications defined during the tendering phase; Lead a technical team composed of "customer project technical designers and engineers" (i.e. DPT3-DPT4-DAT4-DAT5), and ensure technical coordination of all projects stakeholders; -Lead all technical aspects of customer integrated projects, such as: design, implementation, testing, FAT; Manage technical risks and interfaces between the project team stakeholders and the customer; and get final customer approval of the overall technical solution designed and delivered. Place of work: Sites Slovakia: our offices in Bratislava, Žilina and Košice Work from home Candidates from Serbia and Romania are welcome Other countries: site work - international travel (30%), mostly within Europe Key activities and responsibilities: Technical team coordination & management: - Has full set of skills and autonomy to design e-houses using SE and supplier tools - Leads & approves basic and detailed design of all technical aspects of an integrated solution, in line with customer and contract requirements (technical performance) and applicable Standards and regulations; - Make sure the project technical team delivers according to the project planning; - Monitor technical costs, make sure budget for the technical part is under control; - Coordinate all technical implementation activities done at factories or supplier premises and testing facilities until project closure. Technical coordination of project stakeholders: - Work in close collaboration with PM, TL, workpackage Leader & other technical designers and engineers involved on the project; - Identifies whether specific expertise support is needed and coordinate the expertise actions if any; - Proposes optimization both on technical solution and team coordination - Act as a single point of contact for all project stakeholders regarding the technical content of the project; and ensure technical coordination among the project team. Design & Implementation: according to her/his field of knowledge, - Perform and/or review full e-house design and specification activities, by leveraging Schneider Electric portfolio of products & systems in an optimized manner, in order to maximize profitability and limit technical risks; - Participates on key implementation/test activities (testing, FAT, SAT, etc). - Ensures full team understand and implement optimized solution while properly using proper tools (Revit, AVEVA, Archicad, etc) Risk & Opportunity management, Change management, Alert: - Identify any potential changes versus contract or already-agreed design; - Work closely with PM/TL to specify the changes and their implications for Schneider Electric (including cost impact eveluation), until getting a variation order; -Alert PM/TL of any substancial issue that could affect the project performance or customer satisfaction. Customer interactions: - Lead technical discussions and clarifications with customer; - Act as the key and trusty contact person for all technical topics related to the project. Quality process, Methods, Tools: - Support PM/TL and Designers to ensure full compliance with Schneider-Electric processes (CPP & TDP), and with quality instructions, safety requirements and governance principles; Community of practices & Coaching: - Share best Practices within her/his Execution Center and globally within Technical Excellence Community network; Participates on TEC development material -Identify, get, formalize, share and promote lessons learned and best practices; - Act as role model and/or coach junior technical engineers and designers; - Is connected with LoBs and application eperts to stay tuned on the last technical evolutions of equipment & systems (acting then as a referent in the Community). What qualifications will make you successful? Education and language - University education - Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture - Mandatory fluent communication in English language (B2/C1), - other languages skills welcome, not mandatory (Spanish, French, German, Portugal) Experience - Minimum 5 years in leading Multi-disciplinary / Multi-package technical projects - Minimum 5 years in space design and/or coordination and optimization of e-house design and/0r buildings - Confirmed Technical background and knowledge from technical architecture, civil engineering, 3D modeling of buildings in different industrial segments (Oil & Gas, Electrical Distribution, Substations, Datacenters, MMM, Etc.) - Basic knowledge of power products and SE portfolio is an advantage (including but not limited to OKKEN, BLOCKSET, PIX, MCSET, AIRSET, SM6, APC, Uniflair, GHA, CBGS-0) - Advanced Level using main BIM Tools (Revit, Archicad, AVEVA E3D), Autocad 2D/3D and rendering softwares - Highly multicultural profile with knowledge of more than two cultures.
