Accountant in Bucuresti

Job Description

We are currently hiring an Accountant to strengthen the accounting team at our Ubisoft Studio in Bucharest.

The Accountant is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, solid knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

What you'll do

Responsibilities:

  • Record daily accounting transactions, regarding bank statements, expense reports and travel forms;
  • Checking the travel expenses documents, provide information and guidance to all the employees regarding the preparation of travel expense reports;
  • Preparation of weekly payments and preparation of bank forms when needed;
  • Maintain and update accounting records in line with legal requirements and internal procedures;
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities;
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts (banks, advances, treasury accounts);
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal procedures.
  • Systems & Tools

  • Use ERP system (e.g. PeopleSoft Oracle) to process transactions, extract data and generate reports.
  • Promote automation and digitalization initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • 2–3 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards (OMFP 1802/2014) and the Romanian Fiscal Code.
  • Good knowledge in MS Office 365, especially in MS Excel.
  • Experience working with an ERP system.
