Main Responsibilities:
AP Function:
- Ensure proper processing and filling of supplier invoices
- Prepare and issue payments for suppliers
- Check and prepare journals for staff expense claims and/or card expenses according to the accounts type in the accounting system (NetSuite)
GL Function:
- Full spectrum of accounting for month and year end closing
- Weekly cash flow movement
- Bank reconciliation and cash position -Monthly
- Ensure that all journals are allocated correctly to the chart of accounts
- Keep track of all Fixed Assets registered
Other functions:
- Assisting with the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll
- Review and assure accuracy of approved per diem, travel and overtime claims
- PO review and approval
- Maintain a proper document control system
- Liaise with bank/auditory/secretary/tax matters
- Assistance with preparation of regulatory fillings for accounting and payroll
- Assistance with getting our Romanian legal entity full transactional in NetSuite
- Any other ad-hoc or administrative assignments
- Management of a small team of up to two employees
Reporting to Finance (HQ):
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the account department, establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principals, processes and control
- Be responsible for timely month end and year end closing processes and presentation of monthly financial report
- Meet financial accounting objectives such as the coordination and completion of annual audits
Requirements:
- Manage full spectrum of accounting
- Professional accounting qualification is a must
- Compliance of local tax knowledge is a must
- Experience in handling and generating payroll according to local regulations is a must
- Proven experience in a similar position
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure
- Excellent problem solving, /judgement skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet the deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and complete discretion
