Join Siemens Energy’s Aeroderivative Gas Turbine (AGT) team as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacture of our turbines. You will collaborate with colleagues, partners and suppliers to provide essential technical support and engineering advice, ensuring a reliable supply of parts for our AGT fleet. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining safety-critical components and supporting strategic supply chain activities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Support manufacturing and design activities on both new and legacy components. Assess and select suppliers, manufacturing methods and component specifications. Monitor suppliers’ adherence to technical and quality requirements. Provide guidance on special processes and inspection techniques. Assist in process validation, Parts and Process Qualification (PPQ) and Method Verification Approval (MVA). Conduct root cause investigations into new component manufacturing issues. Drive the development and adoption of new manufacturing techniques to enhance cost, efficiency, and manufacturability.Provide technical support to procurement and supply chain teams, for sourcing decisions. What You Bring
Engineering Degree and experience in manufacturing or a related field Experience as a manufacturing engineer (5 years minimum) in high-integrity component manufacturing (such as oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, infrastructure, power generation) Experience in manufacturing validation and inspection techniques, including non-destructive testing methods. Nice to have gas turbine or aerospace component design familiarity, an understanding of gas turbine component manufacture ( forging, casting, coating, processing), experience of validating new manufacturing techniques, cost value engineering, technical documentationTravel approximately 25% (mainly Europe), hybrid work model: 3 days in the office.
