Assistant Entity Controller in Bucuresti

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Entity Controller to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will be supporting key financial operations such as General Ledger, Fixed Assets, VAT, inventories, and AP/AR. The role may assist with payroll, tax, and cost accounting, ensuring accurate journal entries and compliance with standards. It contributes to reporting, reconciliations, process improvements, and ERP transitions, helping management make informed decisions aligned with Honeywell and local requirements.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office and 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

  • Performs accounting activities which may include General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company, VAT reporting transactions, Inventories, Reporting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • May assist finance functions with payroll, tax, sales and/or cost accounting.
  • Processes and check journals according to the defined procedures and accounting principles and legislation
  • Produces routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management
  • Analyzes statements, ledgers, and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items and selects the correct procedure to verify or adjust discrepancies or errors
  • Responds to specific questions from business stakeholders and clarifies situations when necessary
  • Provides accurate analysis of reconciliation records to third party documents
  • May establish, modify, document and co-ordinate implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures
  • Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications
  • Conduct accounts reconciliation periodically, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making
  • May perform variance analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts
  • Meet country and Honeywell internal deadlines
  • Seek opportunities for central testing, automation, and process efficiencies
  • Supports the entity local ERP system transition to global ERP solution
  • Key skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related fields
  • Strong English language skills
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or reporting; experience in General Accounting is considered an advantage
  • Professional skills and knowledge:
  • Knowledge of US GAAP / knowledge of IFRS is a plus
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel,
  • Different ERPs may be a plus
