As CMDB Operations Specialist you will own the day-to-day health, accuracy, and governance of our ServiceNow CMDB. This role sits at the intersection of data quality, platform operations, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring the CMDB is trusted, usable, and actively supporting IT and business processes.
You’ll work closely with platform owners, IT operations, and architecture teams to maintain a CMDB that actually reflects reality.
How You'll Make an Impact
CMDB Operations & Governance
Own CMDB data quality: completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance Maintain CI lifecycle management (create, update, retire) Discovery, Integrations & Data Sources
Partner with technical teams to resolve data conflicts and gaps Support onboarding of new CI classes and data sources Stakeholder Collaboration
Act as the CMDB subject matter expert for internal teams Support Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset teams by ensuring reliable CMDB data Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve CMDB operations Proactively suggest enhancements to improve data trust and adoption What You Bring
Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and solid understanding of CI lifecycle, relationships, and data modeling. Experience: Several years of experience in managing services and collaborating with various departments and external partners in a large enterprise environment. Skills: Decision-making, problem-solving skills, and coordination of third-party providers. ITIL Training: Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Asset) is advantageous. Technical Skills: ServiceNow knowledge , exposure to cloud, infrastructure, or application architecture
