YOUR MISSION
As Retail Manager – Non-Food, you will own and scale the Retail vertical in Romania, one of Glovo’s most dynamic growth engines.
Your scope will cover everything that is not food or grocery — from pharmacies and pet stores to flowers, electronics, and specialty retail. You will be accountable for strategy, growth, and execution, combining strong commercial leadership with people leadership.
This role suits both:
experienced managers looking to build and scale a business with high ownership, andsenior individual contributors ready to expand their scope through team leadership, while staying close to commercial outcomes.You will lead a team of Account Managers and remain actively involved in key partners, strategic deals, and performance steering.
THE JOURNEY
Own the end-to-end strategy and key P&L levers for the Retail vertical in Romania, driving sustainable growth and healthy unit economicsLead, develop, and scale a team of Account Managers, setting clear direction, coaching for impact, and ensuring high performanceDrive the acquisition and negotiation of top-tier retail partners, personally leading complex or high-impact deals when neededDefine and execute account strategies for key partners, balancing commercial growth, operational excellence, and long-term relationshipsWork cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Global Q-Commerce teams to launch scalable initiatives and improve how Retail grows on GlovoUse data to identify trends, prioritize opportunities, and make informed trade-offs, turning insights into actionAct as a visible ambassador of Glovo’s values and culture, both internally and externallyQualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
4–6 years of experience in sales, category management, retail partnerships, or account management, ideally in e-commerce, tech, or fast-paced environmentsStrong commercial and negotiation skills — you know how to build value-based pitches and close win-win dealsProven experience growing accounts, categories, or portfolios, with clear impact on commercial KPIsLead, mentor and coach your team to successStrong analytical skills and confidence making decisions based on dataExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skillsHigh ownership mindset: you’re hands-on, resilient, and comfortable being accountable in ambiguous environmentsFluency in Romanian and EnglishIndividuals representing diverse profiles, and abilities, encompassing various genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds, are less likely to apply for this role if they do not possess solid experience in 100% of these areas.
