A Customer has reported one of his redundant Servers for the HMI of his HVDC System is sporadically rebooting. Together with Experts in Erlangen you are analyzing the root course of this Issue and based on this you recommend a change of the configuration of the Network.
In addition to day-to-day business, your focus will be on developing new security concepts, revising existing processes and advising external and internal customers.
As part of a hybrid working method, you will work either in the office in Bucharest, or on the test side local or in Erlangen/Germany.
During the summer months, you will support installing patches and upgrading IT-Systems to improve the Cyber Security resilience of our Customer Systems on his premises or remotely.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Designing future-proof IT/OT security strategies and concepts, creating test procedures for secure patch management with a focus on integrity and minimizing downtimeAnalyzing and processing customer enquiries, advising on IT/OT issues and working closely with internal teams and suppliersSetting up and operating a test environment to simulate production systems; carrying out vulnerability analyses, penetration tests and security update testsInstalling security updates on customer systems, processing 2nd and 3rd level support cases and developing rollback and troubleshooting strategiesCreating technical documentation, vulnerability analysis reports and maintaining the asset management system for clarity and regulatory complianceProviding technical expertise for proposal activities, communicating security concepts and supporting the creation of customer focused solutionsWhat You Bring
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in network/ communication technology, computer science or IT securityProven experience with vulnerability scanning tools Nessus Scan or similarPerform comprehensive vulnerability assessmentsIdentify and prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity and potential impact.Provide clear and actionable recommendations for remediation.Sound knowledge of IT administration ( Windows Server, Active Directory, WSUS, virtualization) as well as many years of experience in supporting problem solving in the area of critical infrastructuresFamiliarity with national and international IT security standards in the industrial environment ( BDEW, NERC-CIP, IEC 62443, CRA)Knowledge of English, Customer-orientation, motivation and intercultural interestHigh level of commitment, ability to work in a team Willingness to spend several days at customer sites and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30%)
