React.JS (advanced) Node.js (advanced) Python (advanced) TypeScript (advanced) Ruby (advanced) Job Title: Development ManagerLocation: Remote (Visits to HQ Southampton OR London)Salary & Package: £75,000 - £90,000 DOE & up-to 10% annual bonus RoleTo manage and provide direction to the development team, including data development, DevOps, product & professional services. To act as the interface between Sales and Development or Consulting and Development to deliver custom development solutions.To improve profitability, resource visibility, automation, and out-puts across the business.  You will be managing the development team across all locations 100% of the time. Primary responsibilitiesTo define the development standards and manage the development team accordingly; including but not limited to: Working with the SLT to define Standards & functions to design and deliver solutions that meet clients’ business requirements.Lead and develop our high-performing software engineering teams to deliver complex production systems.Acting as the technical point of contact to assist in the creation of effective, comprehensive SOWs which accurately capture clients’ requirements, the assumptions, and the exclusions whilst minimising risk to Alliants through the effective use of discovery tools and techniques e.g. Discovery TableCapacity planning and resource management  Essential skillsExperience in hiring, evaluating, and developing teams of high-performing engineers.Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages:Javascript (Node.js / React.js)TypescriptPython Ruby Cloud commercial experience:AWSServerless FrameworkAzure Cloud ServicesA successful track record or proven aptitude as a hands-on technical leader or software engineering managerProven experience in leading high-performing software engineering teams to deliver complex production systemsLed the design and implementation of new systems using cutting-edge technologiesExtensive experience in developing software for large scale distributed systemsDelivered projects using embed Agile methodologiesJIRA If interested please click apply and we will be in contact soon.
